The original oil painting, "Outing Coming Home", was painted by Conneaut Lake native James W. Klinginsmith in 2001.

Jim grew up in Conneaut Lake and spent many summers fishing, boating, skiing and swimming with his family and friends. Jim has many fond memories of those summers and the boats on the lake. The ferry boats provided transportaion to many docks around the lake, including stops in town and back home to the park.

In this painting, the ferry is returning home to Conneaut Lake Park in the evening on its final run of the day.
